For our Brides

Getting married? It's the most exciting time ever, right? Well, sometimes it can also be overwhelming, scary, and stressful. That's why we decided to write this blog for our brides, who have always been the best and most easy-going. We've found that sometimes things can get a little much, so why not give you a few tips that could prevent any stress?

This blog post is divided into two parts: preparing for the wedding and the big day.

Preparing for the Wedding Day:

  1. Always ask for help: Planning a wedding can be overwhelming, so don't be afraid to ask for help. Your family and friends would love to lend a hand, so delegate some tasks and take some weight off your shoulders. Also, ask your photographer if you're concerned about something. Remember, we've been to so many weddings and probably have some great advice for you!

  2. Strike a pose: Book an engagement shoot with a professional photographer. We recommend booking with your wedding photographer so that you can get to know each other and figure out whether you and your photographer get along. It's also a great way to capture your love and get comfortable in front of the camera before the big day, and you can always use these photos for your wedding invite!

  3. Pinterest-perfect: Use Pinterest to gather inspiration for your wedding. From decorations to dresses, there's a plethora of ideas to explore. Create a Pinterest board so that you can show everyone involved in the wedding what your ideas are. Sometimes we are at a loss for words, and pictures are a great help!

  4. Learn from others: Talk to other brides about their wedding experiences. Ask them what they regret, what they'd do differently, and what they loved the most. You might pick up some great tips!

  5. Stay organized: Use a planner or wedding planning app to keep track of deadlines, appointments, and vendor details. It will save you a lot of headaches and help you stay on top of things. PS: you don’t need a planner; you can also do it yourself. We've had many brides without planners who enjoyed their day. BUT a planner is a great way for you to relax on your special day.

  6. Self-care is key: Take care of yourself during the wedding planning process. Get enough sleep. You'll feel better physically and mentally, which will reflect in your wedding preparations.

  7. Get your squad together: Assemble your squad for a fun night out, spa day, or a weekend getaway to unwind and relax before the big day. Do what you love with your friends and just have a great time.

  8. It's okay to compromise: Remember that weddings are about compromises. You might not get everything you want, but as long as you and your partner are happy, that's all that matters.

  9. Embrace the journey: Wedding planning can be stressful, but it's also an exciting time in your life. Embrace the journey, cherish the memories, and have fun with the process. After all, it's leading up to the most important day of your life!

THE ACTUAL DAY:

  1. Breakfast of champions: Start your day right with a delicious and nutritious breakfast. After all, you'll need the fuel to dance the night away. Also, if alcohol makes you tired, try drinking non-alcoholic champagne before the ceremony, and then after, you can party, party, and party!

  2. Stay hydrated: Keep yourself hydrated throughout the day. Don't forget to sip some water while you're busy mingling and posing for photos.

  3. Glam it up: Hire a professional hair and makeup artist to make you look your absolute best on your special day. And don't forget to dazzle them with your gorgeous smile! We also recommend that you do a trial before your wedding day to ensure that you are happy with your hair and makeup.

  4. Backup plan is a lifesaver: Let's be real, things don't always go according to plan. So have a trusted friend or family member ready to tackle any last-minute snafus.

  5. Take a breather: Amidst all the wedding excitement, take some time out for yourself. Breathe, relax, and soak up the moment.

  6. Live in the moment: Cherish every moment of your special day. This day is all about you, your partner, and the love that brought you two together.

  7. Imperfectly perfect: Don't sweat the small stuff. Your wedding day might have its imperfections, but that's what makes it unique and memorable.

  8. Let your hair down: It's your big day, so make sure to have a blast! Dance, laugh, and make unforgettable memories with your loved ones.

  9. Love is in the air: Finally, remember that your wedding day is a celebration of your love. Keep that at the forefront of your mind and bask in the joy of your special day.
