Megan & Duval

As a photographer, there are these moments that really stick with you - they’re not just about snapping pictures, but capturing emotions, memories, and stories that stay with you long after the camera clicks. One of those moments for me was when I got to shoot one of my oldest and best friends, Megan’s wedding. I’ve known her since we were kids in Botswana, sharing all these adventures and dreaming about our futures. So when she asked me to be her photographer, I was beyond honored.

Megan’s journey to her wedding day was one of those beautifully unexpected stories. I still remember the selfie she sent me from some bar (because we send loads of selfies some that may NEVER see the light of day), wearing this jacket that definitely wasn’t hers. I was like “WHOSE JACKET ARE YOU WEARING?!”, that’s how I first met Duval, the guy who just fit into our lives (I specifically say our haha) like he was always meant to be there. Their love is so genuine - you can see it in every glance and smile they share.

Photographing a best friend’s wedding? It’s honestly hard to put into words. You already know all their little quirks, their laughs, and their deepest feelings. Megan and Duval’s wedding day was pure love and laughter, with good wine and these heartfelt tributes to loved ones who couldn’t be there. We laughed, we cried tears of happiness, and we were all reminded how important family really is.

Looking back on that day, Roy and I are so grateful for every single moment we got with them. Thank you for letting us be a part of your journey, capturing these moments that mean so much.

We love your love for each other and cannot wait for many more celebrations + braai’s together!
